Tools

Tools are an essential part of growing as educator. It is all very well to talk about how we hope to grow but actually doing it, is the only way to make it happen!

Within each of the programs that I run, Tools get developed that you may find useful. Each of the instruments provided are most effectively used and understood through the program from which they are drawn. If you are intrigued by the tool but would like to know more, please book in for the supporting program or for a personal coaching session to introduce you to the most effective use.

Capacity Check

The Capacity Check is a simple tool to enhance the experience of the moment in meetings or at home. They allow us to narrow down the “check-in” process to be focused upon each person’s capacity in the moment in the immediate experience. Not this morning and not the future. “This Capacity Check is an effective and non-invasive way that we have found to connect as a team.”

Trigger Cards
Trigger Cards

As part of the “Find Your Triggers” workshop, we explore the childhood patterns and rule sets that emerge in our parenting or teaching. These triggers are opporuntities to embrace and show gratitude to the internal child that often demands attention when we are trying to “adult”. Trigger Cards are tailored to you in the session and used as visual stimulus to embrace your child and allow you to make space for your actual child : )

Integral Infographic
Integral Infographic

North American Philosopher, Ken Wilber developed a gorgeously elegant model called Integral Theory and in particular AQAL – to unpack a way to observe human development across multiple contexts of our lives.
I have been working with Integral Theory in the classroom and as part of my parenting for the last 20 years. It has been an excellent way to model good quality educating and to acknowledge our own journey at the same time. The Introduction to Integral course is regularly available on Awakening Education, and is the best way to appreciate this infographic.
