#2 Non Exclusion

There is always more to learn, more to unpack, more to unfold. What was a great decision in this moment, may not be the best one tomorrow. This does NOT mean that as individuals and collectives we can’t form rules or parameters for our safety or learning. Far from it. Rather, it means we recognise an option for action as fulfilling our own needs in this moment as the best direction whilst holding awareness that other options may arise that better fulfill us; we are not “done”. That is a really important point to remember, so I am going to say it again.

We can recognise an option or action as fulfilling our own needs in this moment as the best direction whilst also holding awareness that other options may arise that better fulfill our needs in the future, they are not good or bad, right or wrong. They just achieved the goal needed.

To stay open to possible new ways of looking at things through exploring the complexity of each individual perspective is something that we are always trying to understand. This doesn’t always make for a comfortable journey of course, as sometimes those other perspectives trigger and activate parts of ourselves we didn’t even know we had. These features of the journey and the unpacking of the self and the other and knowing that we will never understand the complexity in all its totality is fundamental to an Awakened Education. We are always searching for new solutions, new practices, and new skills. Learning is a lifelong process and we need to model this journey and exploring for our children.
